The XTS eXtended Transport System supports the concept of environment-friendly packaging solutions in several ways: greatly reduced footprint, more precise and thus resource-saving packaging processes, and ultra-fast format changes in seconds, down to batch size 1. At FachPack 2019 we will show you how XTS can help you optimise the environmental performance of your packaging line.

With the XTS Track Management software functionality, motor modules and their movers can be moved between several systems. Innovative machine concepts make packaging lines even more flexible.

Highly flexible and ideal for primary packaging in the food and pharmaceutical industries: With the XTS hygienic option in stainless steel design, Beckhoff increases availability through reduced changeover and downtimes, even in demanding environments. It features easy-to-clean surfaces, high-pressure cleaner-resistant seals and no concealed edges.

XPlanar from Beckhoff sets new standards for packaging machines: free-floating planar movers move jerk-free and without contact at up to 4 m/s over planar tiles arranged in an arbitrary layout. Travelling magnetic fields provide for exact and highly dynamic positioning. The result: maximum freedom in product transport, maximum flexibility in positioning, and optimum machine and system design.

TwinCAT Vision from Beckhoff integrates comprehensive image processing functions in the controller, including detection, measurement, identification, pick-and-place and quality control. The result: advanced packaging machine concepts that increase competitiveness and investment security.

Beckhoff presents EtherCAT G for use in highly complex applications. Using EtherCAT G, the current EtherCAT transfer rate of 100 Mbit/s can be increased by a factor of 100. The branch concept enables the integration of 100 Mbit/s EtherCAT segments and reduces the lead times in large networks through the parallel processing of the segments.

The AMP8000 servomotor with directly integrated servo drive paves the way for the minimisation of the control cabinet. The performance values of the motor remain unchanged with a virtually identical size. Reduction to a single coupling module supplying several servomotors via a single cable saves material, space, costs and mounting effort.
